Toll operations for the busiest commercial crossing between the US and Canada. One app for the driver, one for the plaza: classification, ticketing, signboards and gates.

The constraint

Commercial trucks cannot stop to fumble with an app, and the plaza cannot stop working because one driver lost signal.

The decision

Geofence-triggered wallet debit on the driver side. The plaza console holds truth over real-time sockets and keeps a lane running from its own state when the driver side drops off. Ticketing, signboards and gates all sit behind that same channel.

Delivered to pilot, and in use at the crossing.
